The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, is definitely one of my favourite pieces of architecture. This building was built in the early 1990s and was designed by world famous architect Frank Gehry.
The shape of the museum is so organic and alive. It looks almost as if the structure is exploding in the centre and reaching towards the sky.
Gehry's ability to transform materials such as titanium tiles, limestone and glass into a building that looks alive is amazing and truly inspirational.

This is a photo I took of the sandstone outcrops in Palm Beach.
I love the way that this natural landscape becomes an abstract image when photographed. These rocks have been eroded by the ocean to form smooth boulders and small round indents (seen in the foreground of the image). There are even carvings of sea life on some of the rocks.
Fun Fact:
I have called this amazing place home for over 18 years.
This image shows one of my textile projects.
Inspired by both feminism and lace, as well as Islamic patterns, I created a laser cut leather vest and accessories.
During the project I was able to explore and gain knowledge of many things that I had not experienced before. I had the opportunity to visit a leather wholesaler and developed a greater understanding of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign in order to create the pattern.
This project required very detailed and precise drawings so that the laser cutting process could be successful and that all the pieces fit together properly.

Fun Fact:
When completing this project, the laser cutter stopped working so I had to cut out 100s of diamonds by hand.
